Origin & Manufactory

Our olive wood comes from Tunisia, a region with centuries-old olive tree cultivation. The warm, southern climate and slow growth conditions give the wood its distinctive grain and exceptional density. Olive wood from the more southern growing regions is prized for its striking textures and warm tones.
Carefully crafted by hand, it is transformed into durable cutting and serving boards, wooden bowls, and kitchen utensils, each with its own unique character.

SOLTAKO’s roots go back to 1963. For generations, knowledge of working with olive wood has been passed down, with extensive experience and craftsmanship brought to every single piece.

Gift Service

Unwrap, delight, enjoy: Every Soltako product comes in attractive gift packaging and is ready for special moments. Our olive wood products are oiled before shipping and are therefore ready to use immediately. This natural treatment may cause traces of oil to appear on the product or packaging.

We deliberately do not include an invoice in the package, so the order can be sent directly to the recipient. We also offer customized corporate gifting solutions for businesses for their customers, partners, and employees.

Care & Tips

To ensure you enjoy your olive wood product for a long time, we have already taken care of the initial treatment for you: Each piece is carefully oiled before shipping and is ready to use immediately.

Wooden products are not dishwasher-safe. After use, simply clean by hand with lukewarm water. Then dry thoroughly and allow to air dry. Avoid direct heat such as radiators or other heat sources, as this may cause the wood to warp.

As olive wood is a natural product, the surface may darken slightly over time. This is part of the natural character of the wood. To preserve the natural beauty of the wood, we recommend regular care with our Olive Wood Butter The Revival. However, you should not use cooking oil for care.

Why olive wood?

Olive wood is one of the hardest and most durable woods for use in the kitchen. It is robust, gentle on knives, and a natural alternative to plastic products. This prevents microplastics from coming into contact with food when cutting and serving.

The dense wood structure makes it difficult for bacteria and moisture to penetrate. Thanks to these antibacterial properties, olive wood is ideal for cutting boards, serving boards, and other kitchen utensils.

The unique grain makes every piece special: no olive tree grows like any other. The color, texture, and shape vary from piece to piece, making every product a distinctive, one-of-a-kind item with natural character.
